Basic Information
Anderson High School is a public, 9-12 standard high school. It is located in Northwest Austin at 8403 Mesa Drive, and its hours are from 9:05 a.m. to 4:35 p.m
Programs – Academics
Anderson has multiple-renowned academic programs, a spotlight of which being their CTE program. CTE, or Career and Technical Education, is an in-school program where students can earn extra credit, gain real world experience, etc. through taking a series of courses aligning with your CTE area of study. The current areas of studies include: Biomedical Science, Business, Business Practicum (Required form), Business Practicum (Essay Response), Culinary Arts, Cybersecurity, Design & Multimedia Arts, Digital Communications, and Engineering/Manufacturing Technology/Programming & Software Development/Electronics & Renewable Energy, Advanced Manufacturing & Machinery (Robotics). Anderson also offers an “International Baccalaureate” program. The IB Diploma Program, or just IB program, is a two-year “educational journey” in which students cover six specific areas of study. These areas of study are: English Language, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts. Programs – Fine Arts and Athletics
Anderson offers plenty of Fine Art extracurriculars, a shining example of which being their dance team, the Trojan Belles. The Trojan Belles are a highly awarded dance team who perform often. Along with the dance team Anderson offers Theater Arts, Visual Arts, Orchestra, Band, and Choir. You can find that here.
Athletics wise, Anderson offers a wide array of extracurriculars/ teams. Currently, Anderson offers Baseball, Boys and Girls Basketball, the Belles dance team, Cheer and Mascot Team, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Boys and Girls Soccer, Softball, Swimming and Diving, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Water Polo. Applications
To enroll at Anderson High School you must first have your parent or guardian log into Enroll Austin, where they will need to provide your basic information, proof of residency, past report cards, etc. They will then need to put in the name and email address of a Science/ Math teacher and a History/ ELAR teacher, the last step.
