One of our many clubs here at Lively is our weightlifting club. This is my personal favorite club and I’m here to give you my experience in this club. Before I continue I want to warn you that to participate in this club you will need to have a permission slip signed by your parent or guardian because injuries can occur that can cause serious harm or even death, however it’s very easy to avoid injury as long as you lift safely.
Weightlifting club is only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so there are only two days to work out, so I do an upper body day and a lower body day. On upper body day I do dumbbell curls for 4 sets of 10 repetitions, then I do bent over rows for the same amount of sets and reps, then I do bench press, and I finish with some ab work.
On leg day I do squats then I do leg extension then I finish with deadlift. Some weeks I decide to focus on deadlift instead so I do 3 sets of ten deadlifts then I do split squats for four sets of 8 then I finish with 4 sets of 10 glute bridges. I love this club because I can stay in shape and hang out with my friends at the same time. To join the weightlifting club you must go to Mr. Shanks room and ask for a permission slip that your parents will then have to sign, as without that signed form you will not be able to lift weights.
