Tom Hardy has done it again with another great venom movie Venom: The Last Dance. Of all three Venom movies, this last movie for people was the most emotional. As you could probably tell this movie was the last. As for right now I am going to talk about the opinions and thoughts of this movie from others and myself.
Spoiler alert if you don’t want to be spoiled on the movie don’t continue reading,
The movie begins with Eddie Brock in a bar in Mexico city. While having a drink Eddie and Venom both see themselves on TV after the fight with carnage. Now wanted by the government there on the run to New York to clear their name. While on a plane to New York they meet an alien being on a plane known as a “Xenophages”. It attacks Eddie and Venom and they fall off the plan and barely make it out alive. When they reach solid ground Eddie asks what was that creature Venom explains to Eddie that Xenophages were unleashed into the universe by Knull the creator of the symbiotes, to retrieve a Codex, which is forged when a symbiote resurrects its host. This can free Knull from the prison the symbiotes trapped him in long ago. Venom revived Eddie once before, he now carries a Codex that the Xenophage has now tracked to Earth. Then when all hope was lost, Venom finds and turns into a symbiote horse and travels lengths really fast.
Eventually Eddie and Venom finally arrive in Los Angeles with the help of a nice friendly hippie and alien believer Marton Moon and his family. When there they run into a familiar face Ms. Chen at a Casino winning big. Venom and Ms. Chen share a nice comedic dance before being attacked by the same Xenophage. But before Venom gets eaten, Rex Strickland, a soldier who oversees Imperium, a government operation at the site of the soon to be decommissioned Area 51 for the capture and study of other symbiotes that have fallen to Earth, comes in a apache helicopter and captures venom and the Xenophage leaves. When Eddie wakes up we see that venom is not in him anymore, and that he was transferred into a testing tube with all the other symbiotes that the government has captured over the years. Dr. Teddy Paine and Sadie “Christmas” who are researchers for Area 51 study venom. Eventually after hearing that if Eddie or venom needs to die to end up saving the world Strickland shoots Eddie killing him but in that moment Dr. Paine frees venom which heals Eddie but in that moment the Xenophage sees this and attacks the base searching for the Codex.
Then in an attempt to defeat the Xenophage they release all the symbiotes for 1 final battle they release a lot of new symbiotes, such as Lasher, Toxin, Agony and a lot more. Unfortunately all of them get eaten by the Xenophages. In a last attempt to save the day Venom jumps onto the Xenophage, covers his slimy body all over him forcing him into acid tanks, and says a sad farewell before ejecting him as a mortally wounded Strickland sets off his grenades to destroy them. Dr. Paine bonds with the symbiote (Agony) to save Sadie from the explosion while Eddie falls unconscious when Venom places a hot metal frame to save Eddie. Later Eddie is awakened in a hospital to see Military Official inform him that he won’t be arrested for the murder of Patrick Mulligan because he did indeed save the world. As long he tells no one about Venom and Area 51. Eddie arrived in New York city. Just thinking about Venom. In a post credit scene we do indeed see a black cockroach with the Venom symbiote. Which could mean that we could get a sequel or better yet a 4th movie.
I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was nice but at the same time had some sad parts. I really like when Venom turned into all the animals like the frog or fish that were amazing to see. The graphics and editing and overall design was fantastic. I also enjoyed the dance with venom and Ms. Chen it was very funny and the comedic sense sure made me laugh.
Other Lively students had their own thoughts on the last installment.
”(I really liked) the comedy and CGI,” said 7th grader Griffin Meersmen.
“I liked the venom movie but I thought it was kinda sad at the end. I really liked it because I felt like it was really good because they brought the story together and if they made a lot of money from it then they could make another movie and there’s a good way to do that, and overall I think it was a good movie,” said 7th grader James Grier.
Overall I think this was a great way to go out and Eddie and Eddie and Venom is a great combo.
