Basic Information
Crockett Early College High School is a public high school located on the southern side of Austin, at 5601 Manchaca Road, Austin, TX 78745. The school hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is a standard 9-12 school.
Programs – Academic
Crockett has a variety of opportunities for students to learn and grow. For instance, they offer a CTE program. Their well-known Auto Body and Auto Technology classes within the CTE program are a great way to learn about Auto Collision Repair and earn entry-level training in the four basic ASE areas of automotive training. These classes can be a great way to learn about and master mechanics. Along with the Auto body classes, Crockett offers many other outstanding CTE courses like Business Administration, Computer Science/ Game Design, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Digital Media/Graphic Design, A/V Production, Journalism, and many more. Programs – Athletics & Fine Arts
Let’s talk about the Crocketts Athletics program. They have a variety of different sports teams and take pride in their Tex-Anns, who perform at Football half-time, and Basketball half-time, support other Crockett athletic teams, perform in two to three contests a year, produce a spring showcase, and even have the opportunity to go to a three-week long summer camp. Crockett has an impressive array of teams including Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Boys’ Soccer, Cheerleading, Cross-Country, Football, Girls’ Basketball, Girls’ Soccer, Golf, Softball, Swim Team, Tennis, Tex-Anns, Track, Volleyball, and Wrestling. The Fine Arts program at Crockett makes you want to dance! Dance is just one of the many Fine Arts classes the high school offers. These courses have impacted students immensely and let them express their creativity through art. Their Mariachi/Guitar classes are yet another thing that sets them apart from other high schools, and they have even performed at The PACK. Applications
There are only a few steps for applying to Crockett, and they are through the standard district application process using Enroll Austin. You will need to provide your basic information, the schools you’re applying for and the rank in which you’d like to go, and lastly a teacher recommendation from one History/ ELAR teacher and one Science/ Math teacher.
