With the excitement of the release of the Minecraft movie, McDonalds has done some marketing and has teamed up with the Minecraft movie release and they have released their own Minecraft movie starting April 1st to May 6th. The meal that comes with either a big mac or 10 piece nuggets along with that the meal also comes with medium fries and choice of drink and most importantly the main reason it’s really popular/viral is because of the 6 different collectible toys which are: The Big Mac Crystal, Birdie wings, a Fry Helmet, Grimace Egg, Soda potion, Zombie Ham burglar. All the collectible toys have individual cards that correspond to the toy you get cards that have a code to redeem a cosmetic in the Minecraft game. You can also ask for a special sauce that comes along with this limited edition meal; it’s the nether flame sauce. The nether flame sauce’s flavor profile is spicy due to crushed red pepper and cayenne pepper, it has garlic, sweetness and a smoky vinegary taste. You can get a Minecraft meal for $13.37!
“I got the Minecraft Minecraft meal and it was very good I got the big mac meal and the collectible toy I got was the grimace toy the thing that stood out to me the most about this meal was the overall Minecraft theme, like the little details they put on the packaging like Minecraft designs for example on the fries it was coal and potatoes equal french fries. I think this collaboration was a good idea and a great marketing tactic because I’ve seen hundreds of videos of people trying out the Minecraft meal and I think they have made a bunch of money off the advertising. In fact the branding made me more excited to try it compared to a regular meal. I also think that’s why I bought it because it was advertised to the kid to teen audience. And if they were to make another collaboration with another game I would like it to be Roblox,” said 7th grader Elliott Orendorf.
